It’s with great pleasure that we announce that Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter has accepted our invitation to join the board of directors of Bolt for the Heart. “We are thrilled that Doug has agreed to join our board. Since 2014, Doug has been a leader in promoting the physical and cardiac health of his troopers and has led the charge in helping Bolt equip all Indiana State Trooper patrol cars with life-saving AEDs. He has also been generous with his time in helping Bolt support other statewide agencies. Doug is a proven, effective leader here in Indiana and nationally among his peers. We cannot be happier to have him join us.” Pierre Twer, President Bolt for the Heart.
Bolt for the Heart is a not for profit 501c3 charitable organization with a mission of placing life saving AEDs in areas of need. In 2014 Bolt’s focus shifted to law enforcement patrol vehicles due to their often “first on the scene” response time. Over 1200 AEDs have been donated to Indiana Sheriff, local municipalities, and State Police departments.
