For Immediate Release.

December 22, 2020

Carmel, Indiana | Orangetheory Fitness continues to be a great partner for Bolt for the Heart in their goal of placing life-saving AEDs in our Law enforcement Heroes patrol cars.  Yesterday, we held a donation event at the OTF on E. 146th Street.   Invited guests were the Carmel PD, Fishers PD, Noblesville PD, Zionsville PD, Westfield PD, Indianapolis Metro Police Department and the Hamilton County Sheriff departments.  Orange began a 6-gym challenge to raise enough money per gyn to purchase and donate an AED to their local law enforcement team.

“Not only did OTF raise enough money to purchase 6 AEDs, they exceeded that and bought a 7th unit!  This is a continued dedication of support to Bolt and a culture of giving back to the community that OTF has displayed.   All of us at Bolt are so appreciative of Orangetheory and their leadership team of Claire Henderson and Kaity Wachtel. Thank you very much.  Just know someone’s live will be saved by one of these AEDs ” – Pierre Twer, President BFTH

“Orangetheory and Bolt for the Heart go together like AEDs and saving lives. Over the past 5 years, it has become tradition to come together as a #FitFam to run the 5k together- fitness and philanthropy hand in hand on thanksgiving morning. Even though this year couldn’t be in person, it didn’t stop our incredible OTF communities from showing up in a big way through donations and virtual participation. Next year, we will be together and do even bigger and better things. Thank you Bolt for the Heart, the Twer family, and all those involved to make this event happen, even through a pandemic, because you see a need in our community and will stop at nothing to fulfill it.”  -Kaity Wachtel, Regional Fitness Educator

“Our partnership with Bolt for the Heart has been going strong for 5 years. Despite 2020 being a tough year, Team OTF still showed up and supported Bolt for the Heart in such a generous way donating over $11,000 toward purchasing 7 AEDs for local first responders. We are so grateful for our OTF community and partnership with this incredible organization.” – Claire Henderson, Marketing Coordinator

Bolt is a 501c3 charitable organization which has a goal of placing one AED in every law enforcement heroes patrol car in Indiana.  The Indiana State Police have been completed (487 units) and Bolt is well on its way with nearly 50% deployment in our 92 Sheriff departments.
